It is applied to the affected parts three times daily until the skin is clear with no scars. It is most economical and effective to paint it on the skin with an artists paint brush or to daub on with a sterile cotton ball. An improvement is usually seen after a few days. An average case acne will require 90-150 ml of lotion to clear the skin over a period of 4-6 weeks. Thereafter an occasional application will be required to keep the skin clear. A controlled independent clinical trial was carried out within the dermatology departments of the five largest hospitals in Beijing.
